Terms and Conditions for Telehealth Psychology Services

Welcome to InnerHealth Psychology ("we," "us," "our"). By using our telehealth psychology services (the "Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Services.
1. Scope of Services
InnerHealth Psychology provides telehealth psychology services, including but not limited to psychological assessments, therapy sessions, counseling, and related mental health services. These services are delivered via secure online platforms (e.g., video calls, phone consultations, etc.).
Professional Qualifications: All of our psychologists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and are qualified to provide the telehealth services we offer.
2. User Responsibilities
As a user of our Services, you agree to the following:
Accurate Information: You will provide accurate and complete personal, health, and payment information when requested. You agree to update this information if there are any changes.
Confidentiality: You will maintain the confidentiality of your account and login credentials (if applicable). You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Telehealth Etiquette: You agree to attend scheduled sessions on time and in a private, quiet, and distraction-free environment. We are not responsible for technical issues on your end.
Appropriate Use: You will only use our Services for lawful purposes and will not engage in any conduct that disrupts or interferes with the Services.
3. Telehealth Platform and Technology
Platform: Our Services are delivered through Zanda Health which comply with relevant privacy and security regulations. You are responsible for ensuring that your device and internet connection are suitable for telehealth services.
Technical Issues: While we strive for seamless service delivery, we are not responsible for any technical problems (e.g., connectivity, hardware failures) that may arise during a telehealth session.
4. Fees and Payment
Fees: The fees for our Services are set out on our website or will be communicated to you before booking any sessions. The fees may vary depending on the type and length of the session.
Payment: Payments for services can be made via the payment portal - Sessions are to be paid from upon booking. You are responsible for ensuring that payments are made on time.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you must provide at least 48 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee. If you fail to attend a session without prior notice, you will be charged the full session fee.
Insurance: We may accept certain health insurance providers, and you are responsible for checking with us regarding your coverage and any out-of-pocket costs.
5. Privacy and Confidentiality
We respect your privacy and confidentiality. All personal and health information collected during the provision of our Services will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on how we collect, store, and protect your data.
Telehealth Sessions: Telehealth sessions are confidential and are conducted in accordance with professional ethical standards. However, confidentiality may be breached in certain circumstances, such as when required by law or in situations where there is risk of harm to yourself or others.
6. Session Conduct and Limitations
Scope of Treatment: Our Services are intended to support your mental health and well-being. We do not provide emergency services or treatment for severe psychiatric conditions that require in-person intervention or hospitalization. If you experience a mental health crisis, we recommend contacting emergency services or a nearby hospital.
No Guarantee of Outcomes: While we aim to provide the best care, we do not guarantee specific outcomes or results from the treatment provided through our telehealth services. Progress depends on individual factors that may vary.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, InnerHealth Psychology and its employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of our Services or from any failure or delay in providing those Services, including but not limited to any technical failures, service interruptions, or losses of data.
8. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services if you breach these Terms, engage in unlawful conduct, or if you fail to pay for services rendered. We may also terminate our relationship with you if, in our professional judgment, telehealth services are not in your best interest.
9. Changes to These Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting. By continuing to use our Services after changes are made, you agree to the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from the use of our Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Western Australia.
